As long as I’ve been dreaming about working full time with The Point, it’s hard to believe that it’s almost here.  Today was my last Sunday at The Point before I head south next weekend.  And, as most Sundays are, it was a great time of celebration and worship.  I love praising our God together there, and the fellowship of believers is sweet.

Today was extra special to me though, because I got to share briefly at each of our services about where I’ll be and what I’ll be doing these next three months.  And then, as I’ve gotten to do for so many others, my friends (and friends that have become family) gathered around me to pray blessings over me as I’m sent out. It was all I could do not to cry as I was overwhelmed with God’s goodness.  I am so incredibly blessed to be part of the Point family and so in awe of what the Lord has done there, even in the 3 short years I’ve been there, and what He continues to do.  His creativity and love for His people is amazing.  And, as I looked at those gathered around me, I was reminded that I literally have friends from all across the globe.  And I can’t help but imagine that it’s a little glimpse of what Heaven will be like one day.  Friends from all nations, gathered together, bringing glory to the Father.  I can. not. wait.

Until then, I’m honored and humbled that I get to serve alongside my friends at The Point and that I get to spend the next 3 months telling others about what God has done.

And, because every good post should have a picture…here are a couple of pictures from the service tonight.

My favorite little guy

Hello all!

Just dropping in to say hello briefly.  I’m in the process of packing up my apartment on Burnaby Mtn. and getting everything put into storage before I head south next weekend.  I’ll be driving to Seattle on Saturday morning for a friend’s wedding and then flying out on Sunday.  First stop – Nashville, TN!  It’s been several years since I’ve been there and I’m excited to see some friends I haven’t seen in way too long!  From there, I’ll be driving up to Kingsport, TN for about a week, and then back down to Nashville to fly to see my parents in Iowa.

It will be a whirlwind couple of weeks, but I’m excited to see friends and family and will enjoy a bit of rest in Iowa once I get there on March 16.  Until then I’ll just consume copius amounts of caffeine.  🙂

Before I go, I’ll leave you with a funny picture of sweet Izzy, my dog, who is rather anxious about all of these boxes and moving of things.  Have a great weekend y’all!

She was too tired to actually play with her bone, but didn't want it to get packed up while she slept!
